University Of Illinois Medical Center
Hospitals / Faculty

Representing the Chicago area’s largest group of physicians at one location, the University of Illinois Hospital Medical Center provides primary and multi-specialty care to adults and children, treating a broad range of medical conditions.
The Medical Center accepts more than 35 health insurance plans, including Medicare assignment. One of the nation’s most prominent research and teaching centers, the Medical Center receives $50 million a year in research grants from the National Institutes of Health, enabling our physicians to acquire knowledge and translate it into leading-edge treatments and procedures.
As part of this effort, the Medical Center sponsors numerous clinical trials of new drugs and procedures. Located just west of downtown Chicago at the Ashland Avenue exit of I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway), the Medical Center offers ample parking and is near the CTA Blue Line.
Our fourth year residents spend two months in transplant service with extensive experience in immunology, hepatobilary, and pancreatic surgery. Also available to us are vast resources in education, library, and research programs.
